OVERVIEW:
*Tiff Rudd (that’s me!) will be the Big Kahuna/moderator of the game. I will not be an active player in the game, but will receive communications from the players and tally votes. Don’t worry – I won’t be letting Adam in on any of the secrets! :) For this game, I will use the email address tiffrudd82@gmail.com. Now let’s see if I can explain the rest…
*The game will be divided into day and night. Each “day” will last 48 hours real time. Each “night” will last 24 hours real time. I will post on the blog at the beginning of each day and night.
*Once the game starts I will randomly assign you a role. The roles will include Dudes (Innocent Tourists), Banditos (Mafia), Policia (Police), and a Doctor. Depending on the number of players, there will be 2-3 Banditos, 2 Policia, and 1 Doctor. Collectively, all players will be known as "vacationers".
BASIC RULES:
*No personal attacks i.e. You can't vote to kill Adam just because he is good looking! :)
*No communicating in any way except by adding comments to posts - unless you are a bandito or policia.
ROLES:
· If you're a DUDE, then you try to figure out who the banditos are and vote to execute them during the day. Dudes may only communicate through the blog, by making comments under the current post.
· If you're a BANDITO, then during the day you try to make people believe you're innocent through your comments and your vote. At night, you kill off other vacationers one by one. Banditos may communicate with each other privately in order to agree on who to kill, but only during "night." Please keep this through e-mail or cell phone (calling home phones may give away your role). Sometime during the 24 hour period known as “night”, the Banditos must email me a decision as to who they will murder.
· If you're the POLICIA, your goal is to try to discover who the Banditos are at night, so you can execute them during the day. Each night the Policia will e-mail me with the name of a player and I will reveal to just the Policia his/her role. During the day you will vote and try to influence the votes of others based on this knowledge. You may reveal yourself as Policia at any time, but be forewarned that the Banditos will probably kill you shortly thereafter.
· If you’re the DOCTOR, your goal is to keep the innocent people alive. Each night the doctor e-mails me the name of a person to be saved. If the Banditos were to kill that person, the doctor would save his/her life. The doctor can only save each person, including him or herself, only one time during the game .
ROLE REVEAL: Roles will be revealed to the entire city at the time of the individual's death.
DAY:
*During the 48 hour period known as “day”, each living player must vote on who he/she would like to execute. This is also a time to communicate with everyone else - try to influence other player’s votes, etc.
*All comments and votes must be posted on the blog, no phone calls or private e-mails. Husbands and wives must be very careful about this rule. It is difficult not to talk about the game, but very important in keeping the game fair.
*In order to execute, there must be a majority vote. Majority means if there are twelve people left, you need seven votes to execute. Please type your vote in it's own comment box as such - VOTE: JAMES BOND
NIGHT:
*The Banditos, the doctor, and Policia must send me an e-mail with their respective choices. tiffrudd82@gmail.com
FINAL RULE: HAVE FUN! Let's get into character, joke, and laugh. Please don't take your murder or execution personally! :)
